I just purchased the standard edition of Visual C++.NET (2003). I also downloaded Visual C++ toolkit 2003 from MS website. Is the compiler in the toolkit adequate to start developing? Thanks

Hello, I'm quite new to C++, but I've had extensive experience with VB. I've been asked to write a program that automates the gathering of information within a financial institution. As I was looking for C++ packages, I noticed a marked difference in price between the Standard and Pro versions. However, I don't see a great deal of variance with regard to features. As a first timer which should I get to be able to develop fully functioning programs? Thanks.............RO
