Hi all, I was always using cmdline.txt file in my unattended install of windows XP and it's works fine. I call a batch file in cmdline.txt to install all my applications. I saw tutorial about RunOnceEx in the unattended guilde. It said RunonceEx method is more professionnal and better, ok I agree. But if I understand well, if I want to install all my applications with this method, i have to log as an administrator the first time on my computer, if I log as user, my installations will fail ?! Am I right please ? If I am, it's not a great method to distribute my unattended windows in my society where each users has user rights only :/ Thank you.

Hi all, now my unattended solution is quite ready. Last thing I didn't managed to do is to change the default ie cache location. Default location is C:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temporary internet files\ I would like to move it in my local temp folder ( c:\temp ) not to store it on the roaming profile. Hi there, I made a unattended distribution of Win XP, and it will be distributed in different countries : US and Europe. I can choose with setupmanager.exe to set input locale to english (QWERTY) or french (AZERTY). I would like to install both of them to let the user choose which keyboard he wants to use thanks to the language bar. Do you know any trick to do that ? Thanks for your help.

And after few tests, using a .theme file or setting reg key like here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=25349 doesn't work. As you said, it seems not to work during install. So I'll use the great tool mute.exe that you've discovered and using it each first time a user loggs on. Thank you again

Hello there, I'm looking for a regtweak to disable any sound in Windows XP. I disabled Windows'sounds with .theme file (or it's possible to do it this way : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=25349), but I need to disable all sounds output, meaning to mute all sound card. Hello there ! just a small question. [UserData] OrgName="mycompany" ComputerName="*" So my computers names are like "mycompan-xxxxxx" where 'xxxxxx' is a random string. I need to have a hostname with only 6 letters (due to my imaging server..) So is it possible to set the number of letter that setup will generate randomly ? And ever more (maybe it's too much) is it possible to set a fix string and a random one ? Like 'ABCxxx' with 'xxx' for random ?
