  1. I've been trying to run various old programs/games that work best with Win95/Win98, but I've encountered a mysterious problem. I know how to use the compatibility tabs, and how to use the Application Compatibility Toolkit properly in general, but whenever I select said modes, it won't actually 'apply' them, it looks like. If I use a third party app which does more or less the same thing, "Resplendent Resolver", it sees Win95 and starts to work, but RR has various memory incompatibilities, looks like. I've been trying to figure out why Windows 2003's "compatibility modes" can be turned on, but seemingly won't apply at all. I even looked through gpedit.msc, but couldn't find any reason for it. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd be very appreciative of any possible leads or answers.
