  1. Thank you for fast answer. This is very ugly. The only possible way to get the system online (because after this failure you cannot login into system - even not as administrator) is to write an script, that correct the registry entries and apply it before gina will be loaded. Yes..... with Vista you need some workarounds to hold your worarounds functional No, serios - I knew that. But thanks for this hint. If someone know better workaround or some other information - please write it. I'll check full of hope the forum. Greetings.
  2. Hello, Forum. I've an (advanced) problem with loading of Gina.dll If I've installed some software, that use own Gina.dll, an sequenz of loading will be created. The software installed as last will be loaded as first. I can change this sequence by modifying registry. For example: If I've installed 2 software with own Gina.dll, WinLogon will be load the first Gina.dll, this Gina.dll will be load the next, which loads the msgina.dll (Microsoft GINA). WinLogon->Gina1.dll->Gina2.dll->MSGina.dll That works pretty. But If I use the repair function of the software, that own the Gina2.dll (Settings->system control->software...) the sequence will be changed again -> that causes an failure??? Because the software repair function will entry it self into loading sequence of Gina.dll as first: WinLogon->Gina2.dll->Gina1.dll->Gina2.dll ... this is an endless loop. How can I handle that without changing manually the sequence in registry? Thanks for help. Greetings
  3. Hello. I am using the powercfg.exe to set power options for laptop. POWERCFG /S "PORTABLE/LAPTOP" But my problem is, that the options are set only for the actual user. How can I set the options for all users? My goal is to set it per script (VBS), so I can't use control panel or something with GUI Thanks. Greetings, kRUSty
  4. Hello. I've to create WinPE sources with WMI support. It were very easy to do it with makeimg. But the task is to add WMI to an allready created image. How can I do that? I've allready created the directory \i386\system32\WBEM\ and its subdirectories with all files. But it don't works. I think I've to add some registry information to activate WMI. Know someone more? Thanks in forward. kRUSty
  5. Hello. No, it happens on multiple hardware and there are several network cards. And I don´t think that is a hardware problem, cause if I boot an older version of WinPE on same system, the files are ok... Greetings, kRUSty
  6. I can write a vbs-file, that waits until the ip is given. You can access to this information with WMI. Greetings, kRUSty
  7. Hello. We have a problem with WinPE2005 and Ghost 8.0 We have in the image a directorytree with many msi-programs where every of it are in own directory. In every directory is a batch-file. After booting WinPE2005 and downloading the image with ghost 8.0 some of these files are unreadable. If I open one of this batchfiles with notepad - it contains only ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß ßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß But it only happens to ca. 10% of files and allways the same files are affected. All another files are ok. If I boot an older version of WinPE and download the image with same parameters the files are correct. Is it an known problem? Thank you in forward. Greetings, kRUSty
  8. Hello. We´ve founded the reason. It was the Image. After creating a new image-file the access to harddisk was able. But we can not say what the failure exactly caused it. Thanks to all for help! Greetz. kRUSty
  9. Hey, Mats. with which switch can I do that? The parameters of ghost is a product of programmer before me. Greetings, kRUSty
  10. Hey, Chris. Don´t know what you mean. I restore the partition with followed options: -clone,mode=prestore,src=Z:\E-Client\20008\images\G-Img.gho:1,dst=1:1 -fni -sure -quiet -auto -buffersize=32 -pwd="123" -fx and as destination I have to give a partition to ghost where the image should be created. So I have to create image before. ??? Greetings, kRUSty

  12. Hey, Mats. Yes, the letter will assigned after every installation with ghost. I´ve forgotten to write that. The thing, that makes me crazy is, that it works on many computers, but on this two not. I´ve tried on two equal computers (siemens) with 100% equal hardware (same model). On one of comuter it works on another not. Greets kRUSty.
  13. Hello. We are using WinPE 2005 and Ghost 8.0 for imaging. The functionality is as followed. 1.Booting WinPE 2.Starting factory + registering dll 3.VBScripts will started to gathering information 4.after that diskpart destroys the existing partition 5.diskpart create a new primary partition 6.Format partition with ntfs 7.Ghost will started to copy image to created partition 8.Writing sysprep-information This works fine, but on some computers after ghost image is beeing restored, no access to data on partition is given. It looks like before step 7. If i´ve created an directory, for example, this directory existing after ghost also. Just if I boot the computer, the data on the partition become visible and then I can write on it. But why only on some computers this accures? It looks like the mapping table of the partition will not written or refreshed. Can I do it manual? Thanks for help in advance kRUSty
