  1. I Downloaded the BareBones XP with SP2 (Stripped to 150 MB, extremely Lite!) from some site. Now that I have a SATA HDD, I cannot get this BareBones XP installed on it. It lets me press F6, select 'S', prompts to insert the floppy, copies drivers from the floppy which came with my Motherboard.... and after a few steps like 'starting windows' It fires a message saying that 'something.sys' is missing. Given the options: Skip, Retry, F3 to quit... I have no other options but to quit. I've got the original XP Professional which works fine... Now, is there a way to copy those missing files off the original CD and get BareBones to work? If yes, where and what exactly are those files on the Original one?? Any other suggestions or solutions?? I Badly need this lite version of XP. Thanks a loT!
  2. What I did was, I repacked the whole installation using InstallRite. It really works well, and a few minutes ago I ripped an Audio CD. Try it out!
