Thx u! So, should i disable SpeedStep?! Is it ok?! Is it recommended?!

I have an Intel E6750 on a Gigabyte Motherboard (G33-DS3R). When I run CPU-Z v1.42 it shows the multiplier to be 6 (most of the times) and rarely it changes to 8, but returns to 6 immediately. The core voltage varies from 1.152V to 1.296V. So, the core speed shows 2000 Mhz. When I run Intel Processor ID Utility the core speed is 2.66 Ghz. Is this normal....is it because of a bios setting?Please help!
