  1. I second that; same error on my two XP SP2 machines after XPize - works fine on a third machine. Same firefox release. -b
  2. XPize is at fault. It adds a script which automatically changes the folder to C:\WINDOWS or the windir. Full information: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=64110
  3. I get "The system cannot find the file specified." error messages when running the BTS slipstreamer. I know that it is because when the script runs start /wait extract.cmd, the spawned window is in C:\WINDOWS and thus it can no longer locate extract.cmd... my question is, how do I get start /wait to open in the same window the way it normally does???? Has anyone seen this problem? Is there a simple solution that I can't find anywhere? -Brodie (FIXED)
  4. I used nLite to remove the 'press any key to boot from cd' boot message. I want it back without having to re-do my slipstreaming and such. I put bootfix.bin back but that isn't restoring the boot prompt, suggesting that something else changed. Ideas? and that actually works just fine, case closed. oops.
  5. Oops, actual thread here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=53832#
  6. I figured it out for real this time. You need to carve lines out of TXTSETUP.SIF and DOSNET.INF or remove the security center service component using nLite. I recommend using nLite. Note that nLite will modify TXTSETUP.SIF and DOSNET.INF. Other modified stamps will be affected but WINNT.SIF is left alone and nothing else is actually changed.
  7. *UPDATE* - Oddly, my last attempt to use this patch did not work. These registry settings will disable windows security alerts and can be applied at install time in an automated fashion. The previous sentence was for the benefit of people searching for the solution to this problem. ---snip--- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center] "FirstRunDisabled"=dword:00000001 "AntiVirusDisableNotify"=dword:00000001 "FirewallDisableNotify"=dword:00000001 "UpdatesDisableNotify"=dword:00000001 "AntiVirusOverride"=dword:00000000 "FirewallOverride"=dword:00000000 ---snip--- throw that in a .reg file; one is attached. securitypopups.reg
