  1. I'm saving a jpg through photoshop as a pdf, so there isn't that option.I realized in the past that plain text was pretty compatible, but hasn't html receiption gotten better over the last several years?
  2. Problem is that I'm sending a 5-6 paragraph letter that really needs the formatting of bold for headers, etc, to make it readable. Without it, its actually a little hard to get through.
  3. While I have discovered rich text to not be that compatible between email clients, can most everyone receive in html format or is plain text always best? I'm sending to government institutions and an wondering if they will receive in html format. Never wanting the issue of formatting to block the entire message of course.
  4. The attached file does show with the sent items. Totlal file size is 120kb The mail arives yet without the attached pdf
  5. I've sent a messages from Outook with pdf files attached, but the pdf's never arrived at the receivers end having Outlook Express. It was sent with rich text format. The receiver/Outlook Express has html (sending) selected. What is the best way to send attachments, be them pdf's or others (pdf's special cases?) so that they can be received/opened?
  6. Recently I did an image restore for an entire system, including Outlook 2000. However the image was dated by months. Made a backup of outlook.pst (and backup.pst) as of yesterday. Can I manually replace the outlook.pst from the image with the newer outlook.pst? Or must the Outlook import menu be used? Note that the Outlook email folder structure has changed between the image verion and my new version. (would rather not choose the overight existing messages...from my experiences)
  7. Did use Dreamweaver. Ran reports, thanks. What I've found that for some quirky reason any time I put javascript on this page it makes it not view in XP/IE: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript"> function MM_openBrWindow(theURL,winName,features) { //v2.0 window.open(theURL,winName, features); } </script> Which is odd since this works on a number of other pages to open a new window.
  8. I have a web page that displayas as it should in Opera, Mozilla, Netscape, but not internet explorer on my local machine. (although It used to for some reason) The only change in my system that I can think about is Norton Internet security 2005 though even when it is competely disabled I still have the problem. The page is here Any ideas?
  9. I am sending email via a distributuion list and would much appreciate a hand. I'm transferring email form responses (quite a few) into Outlook contacts -- the responses didn't have fields that could go to an csv file, be nice if they did. Anyway, I'll create a distribution list. And understand that if I don't want each of the recipients to see the whole distribution list then I need to "BCC" the distribution list and only send one "TO" to myself. This right? But what if I wandt a message to confirm that each was sent, do I also "CC" myself -- a different address? Also, I'm trying to figure how I might place something akin to fields within the subject line (from ea contact within distribution list) and message body to help personalize the message: Subject line: <name> ; "with a message here" body: <company name field> <company address> Dear <name>: Last, if I can ask one more. I thought I recall seeing something like "templates" where format messages could be stored, but now can't seem to find it. Am I overworked today or is this a reality?
