  2. I saw this thread before and took a look but i have to say that i don't quite understand your second version of your batch file.

I guess i'll wait for your next release that hopefully solves the mdac problem you encountered. Good luck with this.

And if you do release it could you perhaps add a quick-how-to-guide for this as im kinda new to this. That would be great!

  3. First i want to say hi to you guys as im new to this forum! I lurked arround some time and read the windows xp unattended guide, now i decided to join you and ask you some questions.

I admit it: I like it to reinstall windows. Just to keep my system as clean as possible. But now with all these Blasters and Lovesans all arround i really want to tighten up security of my pc. I always did install all the hotfixes, but the way i did after every install was a pain in the ***. I always re-visited windows-update site and downloaded the whole package., because i couldn't keep track of it.

So how do you guys keep track of all the hotfixes and even more important how do i install these hotfixes easily with a fresh install .

I know that the way to go is to make an unattended installation. But how can i tell in which order i should install them and how can i keep this unattended cd state of the art the easy way ( i don't want to write some lines of code in a batch file just to install another hotfix. i know im lazy)

P.S. Looking forward to be part of MSFN...
