  1. Thanks... LoL, Neowin patch 4.0 did no s*** for me, but the nLite function has finally did what was supposed to.
  2. ALL I have already asked in the topic Windows XP x64 Edition Uxthemes Patched, but the answers was silence, and neither a working site nor any binaries are available for download following the links posted there. I've got instead the so-called "Universal Uxtheme Patcher, Neowin Edition v.4.0" and it has successfully replaced the 64-bit uxtheme.dll in \System32, but the 32-bit one was left untouched, therefore any 3rd party stile can only B applied 2 the 64-bit explorer shell (e.g. taskbar, explorer windows etc.), control panel applets and some 64-bit system wizards and other interface windows, but any 32-bit apps are still "nude" and ugly, with no style applied 2 them. I tried 2 use 32-bit uxtheme.dll from fully 32-bit edition of Server 2K3 SP1 (having exactly the same build number), put in to \SysWOW64 replacing original one (from another OS. SFC/WFP was turned OFF yet in the distribution source, and the source itself is unavailable to the OS, the dll cache is set to 0 size and empty). No good. Please help.
  3. Ak'hmm... is everybody dead out there? Sorry for rising up this topic, but I've had enough of these lambs, which keep the silence...
  4. Correction: I've just found out that there are two files to patch (excluding the ones in dllcache folders, cos I guess a normal healthy mind person should have WFP/SFC disabled yet in the distribution source). First of those files is uxtheme.dll for 0x8664h machine architecture, located in \System32, which is the most essential component to patch, it provides theme and style support for generally all 64-bit apps and system components, such as Explorer taskbar, its windows and property sheets, 64-bit control panel applets, etc. This patch I have already achieved by assistanse of nLite distribution tunning software, which's version 1.0 beta 1 supports XP x64 Edition. As about the second file, it's an ordinary 32-bit one for i386 architecture, located in \SysWOW64 and providing style support for 32-bit apps and components running upon Win64 platform; that's the patch I really need, cos I have yet no source to get it. I've found already patched uxtheme.dll for 32-bit Server 2k3 w/SP1 (version 6.0.3790.1830), but its size is about 203k instead of ~215k for the file in the real x64 RTM distribution. Accordingly, only the 64-bit apps and components may use custom styles with the patched 64-bit dll and a "bad" version of the 32-bit one. That is what I don't need, but I need only a fully working patch, including corrections for all necessary files. Plz gimme a bit of F1
  5. vorte[x] Really appreciate yr work  but... ALL I need the uxtheme patch for my system, but unfortunately I was unable to download it from http://67.20.160.236:8080/repository/?path=Patches/Uxtheme/ as the link posted at http://www.extended64.com/blogs/rafael/arc...egory/1023.aspx Could somebody plz give me a working link on that file, or maybe just tell me which bytes I should change and for which values, to get a patched file? It would also be fine to know how to correct the file checksums, so that it could be included into my own unattended installation CD and no error would occur while copying this file to its destination dir during install (I guess, modbin utility only works with 32-bit PE files?)
