Thanks! Edit: I can't seem to find the installation file on the disk. Now I'm wondering if my disk is the right one. I copied certain files from the Win98SE CD onto the floppy, will those work? Edit: Can anyone tell me how to install Win98SE from the floppy?

Thanks, I'll try that, but I can't even get into Safe Mode, so I'll try the floopy. After installing Windows 98 SE, will my hard drive be reformatted and erased or will it still be in the same state it was before?

After installing the unofficial windows 98 service pack, i encountered a huge problem. Every time i restart my computer, Microsoft Registry Checker appears and says "backing up system files". It will continue to say that it was successful and that I should restart my computer. After restarting the computer, the exact same thing happens where the Microsoft Registy Checker opens. I cannot get to windows so I don't know what to do. Is it possible to uninstall the service pack from MS-DOS, or is there anything else I can do? Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA
