  1. Maybe this forum is not appropriate for this thread, if so, I apologize. I came to think that, since I have a router with a built-in firewall, then consequently create a software firewall rule wich allows all traffic on ip-adresses range covering that local network (between router and computer). In this case - will the software firewall (in my case Sygate Personal Pro) block unknown or new outgoing connection attempts - if not - there's not really any point in having the s/w firewall behind the physical one ... ? Does anybody know the answer to this? thanks in advance - - Kind regards - Jacob
  2. http://forums.kerio.com/index.php?t=msg&th...699e4f18403d9dc This is shocking news - so those who like KPF as I do - grab the latest version while you can... This is beyond belief - first Sygate - now Kerio - smells like a conspiracy what do you guys think? - Regards - Jacob
  3. No difference, I think. Now I just install w/ SP2 integrated in the first place. Couldn't live without it when you know it's there.
  4. No need to if you get a fast enough piece of hardware -regards
  5. Me, I voted OK. I like it fairly much. I just don't really like when it hinders some applications from running or things to install - but I guess that's just part of the protection scheme. So it's - just - ok.
  6. If you use a piece of sw every day like OS or AV software - I think it's quite fair that the author gets paid in some way e.g. per donation or purchase. Other than that there's a load of free software available which does just fine for many tasks. If one really wants to demo a program - there are usually demo versions available ready at hand - so no need to crack it just to try it out ...
  7. I second ripken204's suggestion. Else you can try Nero's ImageDrive if you have Nero. Or perhaps Virtual clonedrive from Elby. This one's free.
  8. @Wesmosis If you mean the free version it's in the link: h**p://www.jdobbs.net/freeware/DVD-RBv094FreeUO.zip If you mean the Pro version it's not available to be googled for free - other than warez. You'd know this if you read the author's comments about the program here: h**p://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=75452 ...
  9. Metaproducts Download Express gets my vote for sure. It's free, small and works well for me. And - important as well - has no ads or spyware. Furthermore, I hate browser integration and clipboard monitoring - these things are easy to turn off in Download Express Greetings - Jacob
  10. Just burn w/ dvddecrypter - that works fine. (make the ISO w/ imgtool classic first.) Both these tools are free. - Regards - Jacob.
  11. That's really nuts But yet so cool Thanks for the info!
  12. @ripken204 - Read the guide I posted a link to - DVD-RB does that too, automatically - and is a hell of a lot newer - and still in development There's also a lot of discussion going on about DVD-RB in the dedicated forum: h**p://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=75
  13. @dirtwarrior - You're welcome I myself donated and got the Pro version and I like it a lot. But it's free to get the non-pro version to try it out to see whether it works out well for you. Regarding the compression there is a guide available here: h**p://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdrb.htm - regards - Jacob.
  14. @kimba79 - Maybe you should consider posting this question in the Windows XP forum instead - as it sounds more like a general problem than a problem related to Corel specifically. Anyway... I can't really think of a solution - maybe log on the hidden administrator account - delete your current named admin. acc. - and create a new account and last trying to install from this new account ... Greets - Jacob
  15. First and foremost - MPC ... Nice and unobtrusive
  16. Why don't you check out dvd rebuilder? Download here: h**p://www.jdobbs.net/freeware/DVD-RBv094FreeUO.zip It's all free - does a good job on retaining most of the original dvd quality - has it's own forum - what more can one want ... Read about it here: h**p://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=75 Hope it catches your interest - I know I've liked it since it first appeared.
  17. You should REALLY check out Exact Audio Copy - AKA EAC - it's just sooo cool - You'll love it h**p://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ It's just a great free program you need to check out for this purpose.
  18. Maybe this is a long shot, but if the above don't work - can't he just flash the bios w/ the newest version, folks - and then get updated the bios at the same time ...
  19. Thanks Zxian - that'll probably get me back on track w/ Opera
  20. Thanks Zxian. About the ua.ini file -where do I find that ? In the install dir ? How do I add that in IE code in (sorry about the noobish questions, but I really don't know what you mean ... ) ? Thanks in advance - Jacob
  21. ripken204 - Why hesitate to get a larger HDD - they're so cheap, it's ridiculous ... Well they sure are here in Denmark anyway ... Kind regards - Jacob
  22. FAQs HTH! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe offtopic - but I can't stop laughing about the silly english your quotes are in that's really hilarious - LOLOLOL ... !
  23. @DigeratiPrime - That link redirects to the same as I provided in my post ... rcwalker are you using a popup-blocker of any sort ... have you tried another browser to download from the link ? It sure works - I just dl' it yesterday Maybe this is not your first problem downloading files ?! - greets - Jacob
  24. @Zxian - well maybe I didn't phrase my question right. I love Nero - I even bought the Reloaded 6 Suite. I'd just like to know whether it's possible to use any applications other than the aforementioned. That's all ... @matthewk - Well I'd rather not go through the hazzle to first convert to another format prior to burning to cd - you see, I just need to burn the *.wma files to audio-cds. Thank you both for your replies ...
