  1. Ok, I'm running the RTM Vista Business Enterprise on my primary computer. The laptop is in a docking station with an external monitor, keyboard and mouse all attached through a KVM. When I switch to a different machine my laptop detects that the external monitor is no longer attached. This causes all windows I have positioned on the external monitor to switch back to the laptop display. Is there any way to disable this? It's rather annoying, to have to move windows back to the other screen when I switch back to my laptop on the KVM. This was not a problem with XP. Thanks, Andrew
  2. Nice... MS just made Vista Enterprise available via the eOpen site. Andrew
  3. Yeah the software rep. stated MS isn't allowing download till end of January... Little annoyed at that, but oh well. Wish the MSDN would work. I'd like to start using Vista, but really can't until January. I don't want to install the MSDN, and then have to reinstall the vista with the real key when we get the media in January. Oh well... Andrew
  4. I download the MSDN Vista, and tried that. When I enter the CD Key. Vista States Installation had an error and needs to restart. I only tried the MAK key we got and not the MSDN key. Andrew
  5. My company has paid to upgrade the recent OEM copies of XP it has purchased to Vista Business w/ Enterprise with SA. This was done so future OEM keys can be rolled into our VLK agreement. We have the Install keys for Vista, but physical media won't be available until end the of January. My question is; is Microsoft offering a download of the software anywhere? Thanks, Andrew
  6. Ok I just did a clean install of my OS. I created this link like before. However now when I execute the link, I get the Help and Support Center window popping up. But it says this page can not be displayed. Any suggestions? Thanks, Andrew
  7. Nevermind, I called Adobe and they are reissuing me a new key. Thanks Anyway, Andrew
  8. Ok, I'm doing a clean install on new hard drive. I'm almost done, and it's going smoothly. However I've run into one snag. I have a legal copy of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard, it's installed on my old HD, which I can still install and boot off of. However I can not find the CD Jewel case with the Key. Is there anyway to extract it from the old HD? Thanks, Andrew
  9. Sweet! Thanks, worked like a charm. Andrew
  10. I have a shortcut, which I use to take remote control of client machines here at work. See Below: %windir%\explorer.exe "hcp://CN=Microsoft%20Corporation,L=Redmond,S=Washington,C=US/Remote%20Assistance/Escalation/Unsolicited/Unsolicitedrcui.htm" When I click it this morning to connect to someone's machine I got the error: "Remote Assistance Failed, Please Try Again." This was working yesterday. Only thing I know I've done to the machine is to install the MS upates release yesterday. Recommendations? Thanks, Andrew
  11. Ok, I've discovered something else: When I create the Profile manually, everything works fine. However if I used the a PRF file to create the profile it won't work. Andrew
  12. I'm having a problem with my Outlook Address Book (Contacts). When I hit the "TO" button, the only address book that I can see is the Global Address List. I've gone into Tools -> Address Book and then Tools -> Options to try to set it So I can access my personal contacts. However my contacts do not even show up as an option. I've right clicked on my contacts and done properties and selected the "Outlook Address Book" Tab. Everything is grayed out, I can not select "Show this folder...". Other Steps taken: 1) Deleted the whole Outlook Profile, and recreated it. 2) Removed everything from my Exchange Mail Box, Deleted the Mail Box, Created the Mail Box, and put everything back into the Exchange Mail Box. I cannot find anything on the web to address this issue. Any help would be greated appreciated. Thanks, Andrew
  13. Nevermind. I've learned you can't have two SSL sites using the same IP. Andrew
  14. I'm trying to setup one of our Windows 2003 Server boxes to host multiple SSL web sites distinguished only by their host header names. I have setup xyz.com on the server and installed the SSL Cert., the site works great. I am about to setup 123.com on the server as well. However before I order the cert. I noticed that if I told the website that the SSL port was 443, it would not start. It would get an error because xyz.com was already using port 443. How do I go about doing this? I found an article on Technet: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...941b07554c.mspx Talking about multiple SSL website's, and using wildcard certs., however I don't this this applies to my situation. I think this is for when you have multiple sites withing the same domain; such as sales.xyz.com and inventory.xyz.com. Is my assumption correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andrew
