  1. Not sure if this is the right place to post this but will give it a go. I have created a mini-setup using setupmgr and have then used Sysprep to prepare the machine. After a re-boot I have connected to Windows Deployment Services and created a image of the build which I have then uploaded to WDS ready to be deployed. This all seems to work fine and the image deploys as it should do. I have since noticed that on all of the machines that I have deployed the image to I am getting errors in the system event log, they are as follows: Event ID: 4 The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from the server host/'Domain'. This indicates that the password used to encrypt the kerberos service ticket is different than that on the target server. Commonly, this is due to identically named machine accounts in the target realm ('Domain'), and the client realm. Please contact your system administrator. The machines are running XP Professional Service Pack 3. I have tried removing a machine from the domain and renaming it and then re-joining the domain but that did not do anything. I have also tried changing the SID but still with no success. Hope I have given enough details and someone can help. Thanks, D
  2. I hope that someone will be able to help with a question I have with regards to BDD 2007. I have created an image of a machine using sysprep/WDS and have then loaded that image into BDD. I have then created a task sequence that points to that image. I then try to push the image out to another machine the standard way and all seems to be going well until the first re-boot, at that point I get an error stating that there is a problem with the hard disk in the machine and that it cannot boot. There is no problems with the hard disk, and there are no hidden partitions (which I thought might be the problem) so I am at a loss at the moment. Hope someone can help. Thanks, D
  3. Of course, thanks for that - having these things looked at by a fresh pair of eyes is always good eh? Thanks for the other tip as well, thought I had removed all of that kind of information.
  4. Hope someone can help. I have created an unattended install, created an iso file, put it onto CD and successfully install Windows XP. Unfortunately it has not copied the contents of the $oem$ folder to the appropriate locations. A script is supposed to run at first logon but because nothing has been copied from the $oem$ folder nothing happens. In the direcftory structure on the CD the $oem$ folder is on the same level as the I386 etc. folders. My winnt.sif file which I have put under the I386 folder is as follows: ;SetupMgrTag [Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" AutomaticUpdates=yes [unattended] UnattendMode=DefaultHide OemSkipEula=yes OemPreinstall=No UnattendSwitch="yes" TargetPath=\WINDOWS [GuiUnattended] AdminPassword=27b4d5133f48764aaad3b435b51404ee051f6e0f6488392580e3bd42fe0d1735 EncryptedAdminPassword=Yes OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=85 OemSkipWelcome=1 [userData] ProductKey= FullName="Eclipse" OrgName="Eclipse Marketing Ltd" [Display] BitsPerPel=32 Xresolution=1024 YResolution=768 [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1 SystemLocale=00000809 UserLocale=00000809 InputLocale=0809:00000809 [identification] JoinDomain=******** DomainAdmin=********* DomainAdminPassword=*********** [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=No [NetAdapters] Adapter1=params.Adapter1 [params.Adapter1] INFID=* [NetClients] MS_MSClient=params.MS_MSClient [NetServices] MS_SERVER=params.MS_SERVER [NetProtocols] MS_TCPIP=params.MS_TCPIP [params.MS_TCPIP] DNS=Yes UseDomainNameDevolution=No EnableLMHosts=Yes AdapterSections=params.MS_TCPIP.Adapter1 [params.MS_TCPIP.Adapter1] SpecificTo=Adapter1 DHCP=Yes WINS=No NetBIOSOptions=0 [WindowsFirewall] Profiles = WindowsFirewall.TurnOffFirewall [WindowsFirewall.TurnOffFirewall] Mode = 0 [Components] msmsgs=off msnexplr=off freecell=off hearts=off minesweeper=off pinball=off solitaire=off spider=off zonegames=off [GuiRunOnce] %SYSTEMDRIVE%\INSTALL\START.CMD Hope that someone can help.
  5. I have sorted the problem out now, I just lowered the speed that the files were being written to the CD and it now works - strange, but at least it is working now. Thanks people.
  6. I had the j1 option selected when making the .iso file. In Nero I cannot find the disk at once option when burning an image file, it is there if you are juts burning a normal data disk but not when you choose the burn an image option.
  7. Hope someone can help with a problem that I having with an ISO image that I am burning. I have created my unattended installation of Win XP with SP2, created an .iso file using CDImage with the boot.img file downloaded from the MSFN site and then burnt the file using the Burn Image to Disc option in the Nero 6.3 SmartStart. I then boot off the CD on the PC that I want to install XP onto but it falls over copying the files across, sometimes right at the start (the section where you have to press F6 to install RAID drivers) and sometimes it is later on when it does the main copying of files across. I have burnt the CD couple of times now and tried on a couple of different PC's but still get the same problem. The only time I have managed to get to the graphical part of the setup is if I have two CD's with the same iso file on it and swp them each time is says that it cannot copy a file across - this is not really practical and also does not work once it gets to the graphical part of the setup. Thanks in advance for the help. Darren
