  1. http://www.freecommander.com/index_en.htm freeCommander is an easy-to-use alternative to the standard windows file manager. The program helps you with daily work in Windows. Here you can find all the necessary functions to manage your data stock. You can take freeCommander anywhere - just copy the installation directory on a CD, USB-Stick or even a floppy disk - and you can even work with this program on a foreign computer. I borrowed the bumpf above from the website but it is a little ripper of a program and free too. Would this be suitable for inclusion smashly?
  2. Hook doesn't work in XP. You will have to change the StartUp button manually by using Resource Hacker as outlined above. Or use, again manually, XN Resource Editor from http://www.wilsonc.demon.co.uk/d10resourceeditor.htm
  3. I go ahead with my plan...and I was going to wait till the end of Friday which is currently 10am <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good oh I have lots to keep me out of mischief as i experiment with all these not so unattended xp installs (looking for the simplest - thinking is bad for my head). And it's about time i went to bed anyway (1.13 a.m. Saturday morning) Be well Tom
  4. What happens on Friday? (Which was yesterday for me). Tom

  6. That's the trouble with youse furriners. Bet yer a mainlander too.
  7. It is possible to reduce Windows XP install to zero, by simply installing another operating system you know. (he tries to keep a straight face, then starts to laugh...oops) sigh Tom PS. I am trying all these suggestions (yer, even the other os), just because i love fiddling - if it aint broke, then you have done something wrong!)
  8. Yes, i sent my application to the Green Machine back on the 4th May only to hear nothing. Still i suppose that the lad must be very busy. It must be a problem to come up with an idea and then get buried in a flock of us sparrows all pecking away at him/her. Be well Tom
