  1. well i got replies in other and better forums and the issue is now resolved. it has been 24 hours nearly since i posted this. this forum is so dead it should be taken offline to save some server space
  2. I have a desktop and a laptop. when i am going away from home i copy all the stuff on my desktop to my laptop using a great bit of software called dantz retrospect. anyway, one of the things i copy over is my outlook pst file, and it works great. apart from one thing. everybody i have spoken to, and every post or info site on the net i have ever seen, tells me that the contacts are stored in the pst file. Well when i copy the pst over to the laptop all the mails and everything are there but the contacts are not. so where are they?? any help would be appreciated. this is annoying. oh check this out. before i posted here i was searching on google for an answer. this person is posting exactly the same question as me but no-one really answered him at all. i am hoping someone on this much better informed forum will have the answer.
  3. i had exactly the same problem. this page will tell you all you need to know. it works fine. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684/en-us if you have any problems post again
  4. i thought this would happen. no one has seen this problem before
  5. Hi, I have started messing about with the bcc field in outlook as sometimes it could be useful i think. So last night i was trying to send myself mails to test it out. I was putting say 3 different addresses in the bcc field (all my own) and sending them off to my self. Well they arrive fine but when they arrive they have the mail address i sent them from in the from and to field when i view the message in my inbox. This could be hard to explain so i've done a couple of screenshots: <<for the purposes of this i am sending from me@me.com to 3 of my other email addresses (person@domain.com.......etc)>> here is the mail before i send it (obviously i've changed the emails for false ones). and here is what i see in my inbox after its been received. i would have expected to see the senders name as it is in the from field, but in the to field i expected to see person@domain.com - and in the other mails the other appropriate addresses (person@anotherdomain.com). is this just the way bcc works or is outlook acting up?? can anybody help me out. thanks
