Ok i can do that now, now it appears blank, i need to know how to like get all the main files and stuff like that into the new hard drive, "the primary one"

Ok, i have a new hard drive, i have it because i wanted to replace it with the old hard drive because it won't launch windows. The new hard drive is plugged in with the old hard drive aswell. Now i need steps so at the end the new hard drive is the primary, and the old one is not! PLZ HELP!!!!

Hi I have a Compaq Presario 5000, and my hard drive kind of got fried and needs to be replaced. My hard drive is a Maxtor 4D040H2 (the model number) I was just wondering if i could either/or A. Get instructions on replacing the hard drive w/another B. Use a different type of hard drive as the primary. THX
