  1. I was able to run these programs less then a week ago, but not I am unable to. As well, when I try to load up my cd-burner, it says I do not have the rights to do so, but I know that I do have the rights. I installed their tool, changed the rights, and they stayed changed. I have already run an sfc /scannow, and reinstalled the application for burning cd's which I also used last time about a week ago. I have been fighting with this problem for a while now. I didn't think of HJT until now and am running it, I'll include a copy of the report in my next one reply to this Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 4:25:14 PM, on 1/8/2006 Platform: Windows 2003 SP1 (WinNT 5.02.3790) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.3790.1830) Running processes: D:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.5.0_05\bin\jusched.exe D:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\winampa.exe D:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\winampa.exe D:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe D:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmware-authd.exe D:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VMware\VMware Virtual Image Editing\vmount2.exe D:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\vmnat.exe D:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\vmnetdhcp.exe C:\Program Files\Trillian\trillian.exe D:\PROGRA~2\MOZILL~1\FIREFOX.EXE C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\JASON\DESKTOP\HijackThis1991.exe F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=userinit O2 - BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - D:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sunJavaUpdateSched] "D:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.5.0_05\bin\jusched.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinampAgent] "D:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\winampa.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DAEMON Tools] "D:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" -lang 1033 O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] D:\WINDOWS\SysWow64\NeroCheck.exe O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - D:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.5.0_05\bin\npjpi150_05.dll O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - D:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.5.0_05\bin\npjpi150_05.dll O9 - Extra button: Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - D:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Windows Messenger - {FB5F1910-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - D:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe O16 - DPF: {17492023-C23A-453E-A040-C7C580BBF700} (Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool) - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=39204 O20 - Winlogon Notify: dimsntfy - D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\dimsntfy.dll O20 - Winlogon Notify: EFS - D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\sclgntfy.dll O23 - Service: Logical Disk Manager Administrative Service (dmadmin) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\System32\dmadmin.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Event Log (Eventlog) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: HTTP SSL (HTTPFilter) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\System32\lsass.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service (ImapiService) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\imapi.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MSDTC) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\msdtc.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Net Logon (Netlogon) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: NT LM Security Support Provider (NtLmSsp) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Plug and Play (PlugPlay) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: IPSEC Services (PolicyAgent) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Protected Storage (ProtectedStorage) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Remote Desktop Help Session Manager (RDSessMgr) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\sessmgr.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Security Accounts Manager (SamSs) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: Virtual Disk Service (vds) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\System32\vds.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: VMware Authorization Service (VMAuthdService) - VMware, Inc. - D:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation\vmware-authd.exe O23 - Service: VMware DHCP Service (VMnetDHCP) - VMware, Inc. - D:\WINDOWS\system32\vmnetdhcp.exe O23 - Service: VMware Virtual Mount Manager Extended (vmount2) - VMware, Inc. - D:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VMware\VMware Virtual Image Editing\vmount2.exe O23 - Service: VMware NAT Service - VMware, Inc. - D:\WINDOWS\system32\vmnat.exe O23 - Service: Volume Shadow Copy (VSS) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\System32\vssvc.exe (file missing) O23 - Service: WMI Performance Adapter (WmiApSrv) - Unknown owner - D:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiapsrv.exe (file missing) I'm going to do my own work cleaning off what I don't like, as there are some missing files, which is never that good. Anything that anyone could tell me would be apprechiated.
  2. I was right about the superdoctoro working properly, so I managed to get that. But I'm still unsure about the Java Raid one, is there anyway to check it besides for just waiting and seeing if it goes up a percent?
  3. It looks like something that could help. Whats the licence like on this. I see in one place it says buy but in another it says free, it lets you download it. So I'm quite confused about the licensing.
  4. Okay, have a little problem happening with the new server that I am setting up. There are two programs I'm trying to get to startup on a higher level so that a user doesn't have to be logged in for them to run. The first program is JAVA SATARaid by Silicon Image, and the second is Superdoctoro by Supermicro. Superdoctoro seems to be in services so that is probably loading up but I'm not quite sure yet as I haven't recieved an email alert from it yet. But where I am really having a problem is with Java SATARaid. Both of these program appears in startup for any of the users that can log into the server. But the problem is it's a server nobody should be logging into it, so I need them to run either at the services or system level so that it's independant of this. Any help would be greatly appechiated. Thanks, Jason
  5. Okay, I have this environment that is just about set up, but for some reason I can't list computers in my domain. But I can look at what they have shared, view the active directory list, and completly use active directory. I have looked through domain policies and did not notice something that would restrict list contents for the domain. I've already searched on google for a solution, so anything that anyone could offer would be appreachiated. C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXXX>net view \\server Shared resources at \\server Share name Type Used as Comment ----------------------------------------------------------------- Shared Disk NETLOGON Disk Logon server share SYSVOL Disk Logon server share VPHOME Disk Symantec AntiVirus VPLOGON Disk Symantec AntiVirus The command completed successfully. C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXXX>net view System error 6118 has occurred. The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXXXX> The only thing I can find mentions firewalls. There was no firewall installed on here, and the windows firewall was turned off as well as the service. Thanks, Jason
