Hmmm, I don't seem to have the option to initialize it. The drive is showing as healthy and active, although it says it's formatted as 'raw'

Hello, I've got a bit of a problem that I can't seem to find help for. I've upgraded my pc (new MB,CPU,RAM & GFX) so I figured it was time for a new install of XP. I backed everything up onto drive d and reinstalled XP. Now this has worked fine the new install flies along with no issues BUT I van't read drive D? Whenever I try to access it from disk management it claims not to be formatted and would I like to do so now? Well, actually, NO. I just want my old files back. I'm sure this is something really basic I'm missing but I'm stumped. Thanks in advance, Mark
