I used SP3 RC1 v.3244 and found this string "B0 04 73 09 " .The other strings did not match.I replaced only specified strings.

Did you used "system file replacer " or just direct copy to System32 ?Direct copy not working always .

I' v already done that for you . Yesterday ,when i tried my latest nlite build the same thing happend : cdrom COUD NOT BE INSTALLED ;CORRUPT REGISTRY. I was using Nlite 09.8b5 and Ryan's packs .Problem was Nero self instal pack made with NCAB .Iwas able to solve this by unistalling Nero ,uninstalling the CDROM device from the device driver , and then reboot.After that i was able to install "Nero self instal pack" and everything was fine again. I hope this help.
