John, What OS are your running on these new machines? If it is XP, make sure hyperthreading is enabled in the BIOS. I have noticed that some of our IBMs are coming with hyperthreading turned off by default. If it is 2000, dont worry about hyperthreading. 2000 was not written to handle hyperthreading. Regarding the sata drivers. Check out IBMs site, go to support. Click drivers and downloads. On the right you should see a section that says auto detect my system. Click this. Or enter your model #. Once you have done this, type in SATA in the search section. It should bring something up for you. Regarding your sysprep file. My company is using the new same M50 you guys are using. What does your sysprep file look like. I have been having a very hard time writing a sysprep file that would transfer the mass storage device from a IDE device on my target machine to a SATA on my destination machine. Every time i boot the destination machine (SATA), it comes back with a blue screen. Any ideas there??
