  1. Hi there, last year, i build a RIS server for our company following several guides found here on msfn.org. RIS was working fine until 2 weeks ago. What happen is that we changed our domain controler to a new one and at the same time we rename it to .com instead of .ca. Since then, every time we try to connect to rhe RIS trough PXE, it can't resolve an IP address. I stop/restart the RIS services, rebooted the RIS server. Re-authorized the RIS on our DHCP server using the RIS tool for it or even directly on our DHCP server. Nothing work. Any one ever got this situation. TY Sry for my poor english.

  4. Hi guys, On my computer, i got 2 NIC (Local area connection 1 and 2) that are on there own routers and connect to 2 different DSL providers. (lets say DSL1 and DSL2). There is no bridge done, cause i need to keep them separated. So local area connection 1 is connected to DSL1 and local area connection 2 is connected to DSL2. Computer ---- NIC1 ---- Router 1 ---- DSL1 |--- NIC2 ---- Router 2 ---- DSL2 NICs are setup for DHCP, nic1 receiving adresse range in the 10.10.X.X and nic2 receiving in 192.168.X.X What i would like to know is, is there a way i can specify wich local area connection that my browser need to use. Clearly what i want to do is this: I want IE to use Local area connection 1 and Firefox to use Local area connection 2. Is it possible? I tried setting both proxys, but doesn't seem to work, cause browser only want to access the routers setup page. thx for your help

  7. Hi guys, i build a Unattended DVD of windows XP with some softwares in it.. then i transfer my DVD to my RIS server.. When i use the DVD, on the text setup portion, it ask me how to setup my partition and that is ok... The problem is on my RIS.. when i install from network boot.. it doesn't ask me how i want to setup my partition.. and this is very important for me.. In my sif i got [Data] AutoPartion=o [unattended] FileSystem=* thx
  8. It is possible to do it via registry open up regedit then go to this key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] Find the string called shell and modify is value to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Winword.exe or whatever ur path This way every time u boot windows, it will boot in Word instead of the default explorer.exe Don't forget to backup your registry before doing any kind of modification to it.
