  1. Hi, I'm still not able to get rid of the Shutdown box. I've tried putting the winbom at the root as well as in minint\system32. For some reason it doesn't seem to pick it up. This is off of a USB if that matters. Thanks, CMG
  2. Is there any way to get rid of the dialog that pops up and asks you if you want to shutdown or restart or whatever? Thanks, CMG
  3. Is it possible to play audio in PE? I see that the winmm.dll exists, but I haven't hade any luck with sndPlaySound API function. No error...it just doesn't play.
  4. We just got some new hardware(Dell GX520) and I added the drivers to our XP image. Anyway, the image does rolling reboots on the Dell 520. First I thought it was HAL related, but when I ran sysprep with -bmsd option, the image worked fine on the 520. My question is, how do I find the pnp ID that the 520 needs. I don't want to leave a gazillion devices in the sysprep.ini, as it has increased my image size substantialy. How do I find the needle in the haystack? Thanks, CMG
  5. Well, I may open a ticket with Dell and/or MS about this. If I figure it out, I'll post back here.
  6. Has anyone figured out how to get around this? I have the same problem on the XPsp2 image I'm building. Only the Dell D610 laptop gets the 'found new hardware' popup during hardware installation. I don't have a external monitor hooked up BTW. All the drivers are available. When I cancel out from the wizard, installation continues and the computer comes up fine with no hardware bangs. Thanks, CMG
