Having problems downloading pictures from my Nikon 4300 camera since a major XP update last week. Usually. the Scanner & Camera Wizard pops up once I've connected the camera to the USB port - but since the update, nothing. BUT have just found that I can get my pictures transferred via "My Computer" through the removeable drive icon - but I want the Scanner & Camera Wizard back! I've also uninstalled Picasa and Webshots as they seemed to over-ride the XP Wizard in the past. Also, can I have a desktop icon for the Scanner & Camera wizard? Any ideas, anyone? Hope this query is in the right section -tried to use my LDS 1881 England Census CDs last night - but having problems with the Viewer. I have V4 which up to now has worked perfectly - tried to re-install it and I keep getting "Failed to extract file "Dll_ini" from binary table" error message. BUT no problems on my laptap which has the Viewer installed from the same CD. Have had a few problems with computer of late - it was in the workshop 3 weeks ago because of some corrupt Windows files - could that be the problem?
