just an added note :- when i shut down or re-start windows it hangs on the message 'SAVING YOUR SETTINGS'...SERVICE PACK 1 is ment to fix this problem...but it hasn't.....HELPPPPPPPPPP.!! :/

DOH !!!!!!! Thank you..... I've used all WINDOWS .... Get to XP and I can't find Scan Disk......

I've looked in accessories folder.....have not got scan disk there..is it still on XP Home??? Have checked add components and it is not in there either. I can however get blue screen scan disk on re-start...Is this the only way to do a scan disk on WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION....Please help...Thank you

Saving your settings.....SP 1 is suposed to have the fix for this ... But it still keeps doing it! The prob is listed on Microsoft.com as... Q307274. But the service pack has only half fixed the prob. still does it now and again...Please can anyone help...Tnx People..
