  1. Only one Offline File, would be TOO big, people dont need all the applications at once. But I am planning to make offline packages for each application. this could be generated by adding a certain switch and the application name. i think this is more usefull. I will tell you when it is done. Be careful with offering offline packages as many companies require that the downloaded file originate from their servers. The current setup of TGUP does this perfectly but changing to an offline version might raise some unwanted eyebrows. This happened over at RyanVM with a utilities suite. The solution was to have the offline version create itself on the users computer as your application switch idea implies.
  2. I've just finished making a multilple OS disc and had a similar problem but was able to figure it out by comparing my install to Gosh's reduced source guide part 2. Are you placing your I386 folder at the root of your drive or are you placing it in a subfolder? If the I386 isn't at the root of the drive, windows can't find it until you edit TXTSETUP.SIF to reflect the new location. The specific line to change is: SetupSourcePath = "\" to SetupSourcePath = "\Directory Containing I386\" So if you put I386 in a subfolder called WinXP, then the line would be: SetupSourcePath = "\WinXP\" This is how you can add multiple Windows OS' that have I386 directories that are slightly different. Hope this solves your problem
  3. Did you follow all the steps for the admin install the updates when you tried to install Acrobat? I ask cause by removing those two ALM's, I've delayed the activation request until I run it for the first time with no problems. I've recreated the source multiple times and installed on multiple computers without fail. Have you double checked that your removed the right ALM's? They all look very similar and it'd be easy to kill the wrong one.. Good luck
  4. Does anybody have any ideas on this? I prefer to setup the users FullName, Organization, and Computer in Winnt.sif instead of using a reseal or minisetup but it's a pain to have to recreate and burn a new image everytime. Being able to change the file on a usb key would be perfect... and I prefer usb as I've stopped using floppies Thanks
  5. Not sure how you missed it since it shows up right away when you search but check http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=57488 I go through how to get rid of the avtivation screen on the second page... To get rid of search use [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\7.0\AVGeneral\cToolbars\cWebSearchView\cPositions\cInternal] "bHidden"=dword:00000001 While your at it, you can setup which toolbars you want visible or not under the cToolbars key by changing each respective value of bHidden
  6. I figured it out... the error is caused by a Media Table error during the patching... To fix it: Edit your .mst with either Installshield Tuner for Flexnet for Acrobat or FLEXnet AdminStudio Go to Direct Editor under Additional Tools and click on the Media Table: Change LastSequence to 2193 and you can remove Data1.cab from Cabinet. The LastSequence change is because the patch adds an additional file (Update_2.kfp) but doesn't inform the installer to find it in your source. Deleting Data1.cab is simply because your admin install removes the .cab from the install directory. Good luck
  7. Had you already patched the admin point to 7.0.5? This patch is to upgrade 7.0.5 --> 7.0.7 Hopefully, that's your problem cause that's all I got EDIT: Oops, just tried it myself and had the same error... Any smart people want to help? EDIT: Solved, Read my post below
  8. New update patch available: http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acro...07_all_incr.exe Extracting it will give you an msp EDIT: But I have no idea how to integrate I tried using the previous method but got the error mentioned below. I first patched to 7.0.5 and then tried to patch that to 7.0.7 /EDIT EDIT: Solved, Read my second post below
  9. Not sure if anybody else has been having this problem but no matter what I did I couldn't stop an Activate Adobe dialog from popping when I was installing using RunOnceEx so I always had to click cancel and activate it once my silent install was completely done. Having just followed the steps for Nero 7 Ultra ( http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=59483 ) I got curious about using Adminstudio (link and intro instructions on Nero 7 page) to remove the activation popup from the setup process. Turns out it works... Guide for making MST 1) In order to to make the .mst download AdminStudio trial, the password is utopia05 (Mod's the password is standard and not a serial). Install 2) Open FLEXnet AdminStudio 7 3) Then go to the tab Assistant 4) Select the .msi created by the admin install, then hit start 5) Then in the windows select under Customization option, select create a mst file. Browse to your existing mst. 6) Hit Customize 7) In the Window that opens you should see a list, Expand Behaviour and Logic folder, then click on Custom Actions. 8) Delete ALMCheckActivationStatus and ALMInstallActivation. 9) Hit save. 10) Now use the mst like any other. I guess you could just modify the msi directly but since we're using an mst anyway, I couldn't see the point. If you do modify the msi, I think you have to also import the customized package but I don't really know. If someone could test this, that'd be cool and if someone could let me know if it's really necessary to import that msi, that'd be nice too. good luck and props go to keytotime for showing giving me an idea on how to use AdminStudio
  10. Any news on this idea? I like the idea of not using SetDevicePath.exe cause I want to make my install as fast as possible and waiting for the computer to recursively scan all the drivers from all the BTS Driverpacks takes too long. So can you set a cdrom path in the OemPnPDriversPath variable?
