  1. Once a worksheet is protected or locked is there a way, to still allow the spell-check function to operate? Thank you for your time,
  2. I tried. The mail merged/imported but the account settings didn't. I could've retyped all the account info by now but it's now become a small goal.
  3. I bought a new hdd, installed XP, then Outlook 2007. I would like to take the account settings I have in Outlook 03 on the now secondary drive and transfer them to the new drive with Outlook 07. Seems easy enough but it's been a huge pain so far. All the accounts on the secondary hdd are POP3 accounts. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Thanks TAin - I'm going for (and have) other larger certs currently but I thought that it'd look good on my side business' website, plus give me a larger scope of knowledge. I mean the training kit is only $25 so I figured I'd go for it. The main reason I started looking into this was a potential customer asked if I could manipulate their MS Access db. I got no freaking clue about Access so I thought it'd be cool to get certified in it plus other MS Office sw. knowhatimean?
  5. Has anyone here ever looked into these certs? I've been debating them for a couple weeks now and want to know if it's worth it and the amount of time it took you (personal experiances etc....)Just curious... http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/offi....asp#office2003 Thanks!
  6. Did I mention she's attempting this on a MAC and forgot to mention it to me? Thanks anyway.....
  7. Is there a way (or utility) to extract specific files from an XP backup onto another PC besides the original? Long story short user backed up PC onto a thumb/flash drive. Goes to another house in another state and wants files off thumb drive extracted to different computer.
  8. Before I ask I want all to know I really didn't know what to search for throughout the forums and I even browsed most of them that had anything close to what I want. I'm looking for a medium between my home stereo and pc so i can play mp3's (etcetera) on the stereo. I already have a wireless network at home so I'm trying to utilize that along with the equipment. Any ideas, favorites, or recommendations?
  9. Quite possible - they don't let me drive the big toys so Admin's out of my hands. I just asked an Admin if we've upgraded Exchange and he didn't know, different team I suppose. I read a post about the migration/upgrade to 2003 can cause hiccups with permissions. I'll check into it further. EDIT - It looks like it's the install and not a permissions issue. I used another machine with Office XP and have access to the address book. Does anyone know of a tool that can completely wipe an Office install?
  10. Quinware's http://www.quinnware.com/ Quintessential player. Small footprint, customizable and free with NO ads.
  11. Good solution, never thought of it. Unfortunately after attempting it, i find it's blanked out. So is synchronization. Could this be a Exchange Admin issue?
  12. I've installed Office 2003 on an echange environment. The global address list works but my personal contacts don't. The contacts are there, and they show up in the shortcut folder but if I try to send mail to a new group I've created it won't "synch" or resolve the addresses in the folder. Is this descriptive enough or do i need to give a little more info? I've: Repaired Uninstalled Reinstalled (uninstalling wasn't complete - it kept all the personal settings so I'm also wondering if I could find a complete uninstall from Office03, any ideas/tools? or could I just delete the profile?) I was thinking about a complete uninstall, reinstall Office XP, then upgrade to Office 03 but am wondering if theres a less painfull way to accomplish my goal because downgrading to XP on an exchange platform is a complete pain!
  13. I found the unattended install guides for Office XP but didn't see anything for user profile setups when it comes to an Exchange environment. I'd like users to be able to login for the first time and not have to answer the profile questions. Is this a registry issue? Is there a work around? Thanks ahead of time. Nevermind, found it on the Custom Insall Wizard D'oh!
