How would I set up a child domain?

Is there anyway I can add an additional domain to a windows 2000 server? Can a domain controller be responsible for two domains? Basically I want to see two domains in the active directory interface. Anyhelp is appreciated.

Hello, I have been messing around on a domain set up at my school trying to implement some group policies to some OUs, but I keep getting an error which says that it can't find the Domain Controller (Even though I'm on the DC) Any help is much appreciated.
