Never overclocked before and I haven't touched my BIOS settings yet ethier.
-
I don't think there is anything wrong with the battery. I already tried resetting the cmos but it won't work.

I just recently put in my CPU and when I boot up my computer it says CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded. Press F1 to continue. What is this mean and how do I fix it so that it automatically boots up without me pressing F1 and how do I fix the error? There is nothing wrong with my computer.. I just put in CPU again and put in heat compound and all then I get this message... :help:

This is wierd, I disabled Hyper-Threading and its not giving me any lagging problems. What is hyper-threading? and is it needed? I'm gonna try and update BIOS now.

Should I extract the files somewhere or is the desktop fine? When I clicked on WASGM109F, it said: EzWinFlash detected CPU Hyper-Threading is enable, EzWinFlash cannot run under CPU Hyper-Threading mode, please disable Hyper-Threading by BIOS and run EzWinFlash again! How do I do that?

Yes I used new cooling paste. And I don't know if dust could be a problem cause I used air pressure to blow out the dust in my computer. Could that damage my Motherboard?

1.5gb RAM. Upgraded a week ago. (added a 1gb stick)

Ok sorry. Do I have to restart my computer to enter the BIOS setup? And if what you say is true, then how come only FireFox is the one giving me laggage and all other programs aren't? I tested this on IE and it runs smoothly.. How come only FireFox? And how come on first startup, nothing responds then on second startup, monitor and mouse starts to run. I also noticed that when FireFox starts to lag, the taskbar thingy disappears and then reappears.

How do I check that? I'm using IE right now and its not giving me laggy problems like firefox, it seems like only Firefox is responding oddly... And no I haven't tested out the old one back yet but I know theres no component problems because its compatible.. Its just the wierd startup problems when I first turn on the machine and the firefox lag.

:help: Yesterday I upgraded my processor from a P4 2.4 to a P4 3. And then a putting it in my brother used the air pressure thing to clean out the dust in my computer. Could it be strong enough to damage the motherboard? After I plug in all the wires and turn on the computer, at first try, the fans were running but the picture on the monitor didn't show up.. And the red light on the mouse didn't show up ethier. So I powered it off and turned it on again, this time the monitor showed up and then the mouse's red light shows up 1 minute afterwards.. Then when my computer is up and running, it would lag spike at some moments. Like for example firefox, I would scroll down and it would lag there and then I have to wait a few seconds for it to unlag. Does anyone know whats wrong? Is it the newly upgraded processor or the air pressure that is causing these problems?

ok ok, this is really wierd. i took out the added video card that i put in and now i plugged my monitor to my onboard video card.. it waasn't fried. it turned on.. now i'm back where i came from. THE BEGINNING.. but if I get my ialmrnt5 driver error again, what do I do??

Anything else beside refromat,
-
So how do I do that?? Right now all I get is black screen whenever I turn my computer on..
-
Ok, I unplugged it and replugged the card again and it works. Its some sort of Nvdia video card.. But for some reason it keeps shutting down on me like when I click a folder or when I leave it idle for a minute.. Do I need a new driver?! -- ok this is wierd, I try to boot into safe mode networking to install new drivers for the card. But then it automatically resets me. I do it again and now I got where I first came from. Just black image, but this time with the video card I put in.. "I think your chipset died, since the integrated Intel graphics are part of the chipset." I think you might be right because earlier before I installed some sort of chipset installation.... What do I do now?!
-
But I can't see anything! Its just black screen whenever I turn my computer on.. Like I turn it on, it runs but the image doesn't show on the monitor. The monitor power light is just orange..

I have an INTEL motherboard with onboard video card, and recently I've been getting this ialmrnt5 driver error.. So I reinstall the drivers and stuff and then finally I got this BSOD and then now whenever I turn on the computer, it runs and all but it doesn't show up on the monitor. The monitor just have an orange light power. I put in this other video card that I got from my other computer that broke that also ran WinXP but then it still the same thing. Do I have to do something else? I can't even see the screen... What do I do??

I installed a PCI soundcard and tried about 3 soundcards after taking each of them out and putting another one back in. But when I went to Sound & Audio devices in control panel, and clicked test hardware of the PCI soundcard, I got an error (I think it needed drivers but I didn't have internet access to get them) So I tried a new soundcard and all 3 got errors.. So I took them all out but now whenever I bootup windows, after the Windows XP boot screen and before the Windows Login screen. I get this slight lag (black screen) for like 1-2 minutes. Is there anyway I can fix this? Like make it back to normal like instantly load to the Windows Login Screen after the Windows XP boot screen.. I used Sp2 Windows XP Pro.

No like, I want to be able to use my speakers and HEADSET. But I want to seperate the sounds each receives like: I want all sounds, windows, im's, music, to be played by speakers and then I want ONLY sounds from Counter-Strike, Skype, Vent, or Team Speak to be received by headphones from headset. And mic goes only to the receiver of the game, skype, or vent. etc.
