  1. blah blah blah bunch of nonsense.....

R: can you add an option to add nero burning rom to quicklaunch icon? Now it's possible to select Express only :(

    Thanks a lot :D

Acheron you didn't make me know what you think about my question / request :)

    It's rubbish.

    1. The sounds are ANNOYING.

    2. Add your own icons if you really want extra clutter crapping all over the quicklaunch bar.

  2. I can't find it...sorry

Anybody know where...I searched and searched...the one without the addon...

Right... call the thread "IE7 Direct Addon, Where is the link?" and then ask for something "without the addon."

    Nice one.

  3. Hi,

Is it possible that the labelflash editor is ripped in this release ? Because it says "editor not found".

Problem is acknowledged. It's because of missing CoverEdCtrl.ocx.

    UPDATE: Nero 7 Lite v7.2.0.3b rev 1.0.2 April 30th 2006

    +Added CoverEdCtrl.ocx (Labelflash support)

UPDATE: Swedish build of Nero 7 Lite added!

    :hello:

hi, the CoverEdCtrl.ocx doesn't get registered if you don't use the default installation directory. In fact there are many missing file errors when you try to use any non-default install directory, because the InnoSetup piles a few files into the default regardless of the user's preference.

To get the Disc T@2 working I just copied the CoverEdCtrl.ocx file into my Nero 7 dir and did regsvr CoverEdCtrl.ocx and now it works fine.

  4. Can somebody, possible vcBlackBox, explain me how to do the following correctly?

Well, first to say that this is really great utility and thank you for making it!

Everything works as it should, but I am not really sure what to do... when I build my custom Nero

install I want to remove Nero ShowTime. By looking in the Nero_Installer.cmd I see that script

deletes many of file associations from registry (from HKCR and HKCR\NeroShowTime.FilesXXX).

Later, it uses XP_Filetype_Restore.reg to reset all XP default associations (to WMP10 or 9 or whatever, but

    not 6.4).

I assume that everything so far I understood OK... so my question is what do I have to do/change

if I did not install WMP9 or 10. I have uninstalled WMP9 and now I wonder what kind of mess can

    happen with file associations?

    Thank you for the explanation!

Please, can anybody answer/say something about this? :(

    Thx

    "something about this"

    yw

  5. are you saying you have installed it or askign if you can? Just curoius to see what you meant

he;s saying that he can Install the program on WinXP-64. however, he obviously has not tried to patch WinXP-64 with it yet.

  6. WinXP 64bit has access to 4 more registers; theoretically, it can do things faster than Win32. However, most programs hardly need 64bit addressing (who has more than 4GB of RAM? servers, mostly) and most encoding apps, which CAN benefit, are written for 32bit Windows.

Even the 64bit Linux distros don't take advantage of 64bit processing (ie, SuSE 9.3, etc, as of 2005-05-23)

For the record, my Athlon64 3000 is rock-solid, not a single blue screen since inception. Uptime is months already.

  7. 1) hmm.. patching files so you don't have to activate windows is not exactly legal..

So, yes, you must contact microsoft again so that they can give you some sort of advice for your problem..

Or you can use Google to find a solution :P

    2) yes, this is the wrong forum to ask questions like that..  :P

    :hello:

He's paid for his Windows, so why would activation be necessary? In my country, and in most countries worldwide, the buyer has certain rights that must be protected. Therefore it should be encouraged to fix the problem. It's legally and morally correct not to activate unless you're in a country where consumers have no rights.

  8. For those of you who have successfully installed Win64, which is better. a clean install of 64 or over Win XP Pro? I have backed up my hard drives to my external backup and have down loaded all the 64 drivers I can find for my Hardware. Now I may be asking this prematurely since I don't even know if this beta is an"upgrade or original version, but thought I'd try to head off any unnecessary problems.  I'm actually thinking of taking a spare 80gb drive I have, loading Win xp on it, then try loading 64 on top of that so I don't have to nuke my Sata drive.

    Any suggestions? Thanks

In case you didn't read the release notes, there is *no upgrade* installation option. You can't go from Win32 to Win64 with an upgrade install.

Also, the upgrade has always been a half-assed approach, usually resulting in some form of corruption. It's much preferable to force a clean install.
