  1. Yeah it is an original CD, Microsoft said there was a close to a million XP Pro cd's that went out with a bad releasenotes.html file. They said that normally the install ignores it because of the bad file size but when you slipstream SP2 it flags the install that the file is missing or corrupt. Basically I need a good copy of the releasenotes.html file before I slipstream SP2 then it should be fine to delete the file all together. Well hopefully someone else will have a copy of it they can post... Thanks, Joshua
  2. So according to Microsoft the file size on the releasenotes.html file that I have is not the correct size. They are willing to send me a replacement CD for $10 but I would rather save the money if possible. Can someone please post their copy of the releasenotes.html file for me to download. Thanks, Joshua
  3. I have actually tried from scratch a number of times. still no luck. I have even tried using two differnet WinXP Pro Cd's for source files...
  4. After I slipstreamed XP Pro with SP2 I get a file missing error when installing. This error occurs right in the beginning after it finishes prepping drivers, before the select partition section. I have tried putting a file called “releasenotes.html” in almost every folder of the CD and it still gives this error. Any ideas? Thanks, Joshua
