  1. Win98 Eide Hd Tranfer Into Xp Pro Sata System

    Trying to install my old 2nd HD (data only) formatted in win98se into my new XP SATA system. Have it set to slave but when I boot it is always reads as primary master, thus fails to boot while looking for the Win98 OS. How can I do this?

    Will start in safe mode but not in normal. Have tried every diagnostic in safe mode, uninstalled every unnecessary periphial, config selective start up, diconnected sound card, second HD and cdr to check for shorts. Nothing. I'm totally stumped. The machine is not connected to the web and it was used the night before solely to burn cds for date transfer to new system.
