  1. Hardware in question: ASUS A8N Sli Deluxe 2xRaptor 74GB SATA (programs) plugged into sata1 and sata2 Maxtor 200GB SATA (data) plugged into sata4 (tried sata3 also) Maxtor 200GB IDE (backup) plugged into secondary ide When I try to install windows, windows always wants to install the bootloader on id0, which is being assigned to the IDE drive by my mobo. The problem is that I don't always leave the backup drive in the computer. I want the entirety of the OS on my raptors. I've been unplugging the IDE drive each time I install windows (which is quite often.) Then, the data SATA drive becomes id0. So I unplug that too. Then I can finally install windows. Why does my motherboard insist on putting my raptors last in line? I've tried modifying boot order in bios, no help. On another machine (MSI nforce4 neo) with a raptor and the 200GB maxtor SATA, the bios puts the raptor first. Why not on my Sli Deluxe? Thanks a ton! Brian Jorgensen
  2. Great! I won't get to try it til fri or sat, but I have one other question: If I can't use OEMPreinstall, can I still easily integrate my drivers, etc, or is it going to be a lot harder? I've always used OEM preinstall...
  3. Mine isn't on a driver, its after or during "Windows is loading" and before partitioning.
  4. How hard is it to remove individual drivers? My nforce4 is BSODing with your packs. (The hex 7 error code) It makes me want to cry Bashrat! Mostly it makes me want to cry because my test machine is...err...MY machine so each "test" is a reinstall! But I really want RAID 0 with my raptors...
  5. Hehe..."rarely frequents"...I was reading this topic and thought it was new as well, though. But then again, I'm new. Hi! (Ooops, wrong forum...)
  6. I understand that unattended setup does not mix with F6 driver loading (anyone know why?), but my question is, how much can still be done in winnt.sif short of FullUnattend? I want to have a custom install CD that: (Definately) Changes "Documents and Settings" to "Settings" Changes "Program Files" to "Applications" (If possible) Fills in the CD-key for me Sets my Timezone, etc. I know how to do this with winnt.sif, my question is: Can any of it be done if I'm using the F6 method to load RAID drivers? I cannot for the life of me integrate my ASUS SLI DELUXE'S nf4 NVRAID into my install CD, even with Bashrat's Driver packs. I get BSOD's no matter what I try... Thanks
