hey bro... can i remove both the sysprep commands and still install the softs int he audit user mode or i have 2 remove everything.....from audit user mode and include everything in first logon?? thanx angel -
pals... needed help... i integrated all the vista updates in my dvd.. and also integrated,,, windows tinker,,and hold'em poker...... but, when i installed vista...i could c allt he updates installed........ under updates,,, but i cant find both the games,,anywhere..on the system.... and when i use windows update 2 check,,, it doesnt shows any updates,,,,, available.. but still shows that windoes tinker,needs 2 b insdtalled...... needed help regarding this pals... thanx angel

bro.... my prob is things get installed perfectly in audit user mode,,,but then when the system gets restarted,,, 2 login into the oobe system ,,,,,, as soon as the system login, it gets restarted,,, hence..... no settings is retained by the admin........ only the local machine setting remains,,,,,,,rest the curent user settings gets deleted...... and also, .msi file doesnt gets installed in the audit user mode..or may b it gets installed but gets deleted or something cause i can c the rest of the softwares gets installed,,,,as it is,,but couldnt find the msi soft installed.... --------------------------------- cause of the above probs,,,, after i saw ur post....... i changed my xml and created a firstlogon.bat bile so that those things get installed during first logon.... but the prob now is,,,,, my softs that i have not deleted in audit user mode gets installed...... and rest of my stuff...(the msi, rteg tweaks, and cleanup.bat) that i included in bat file..... doesnt get installed ........ same prob as previous,,,,,, as soon as i login into oobe system phase..... the system gets restarted,,and cause of that, after re login,,,,, the first login.bat doesnt run.... so help needed regarding that.... my xml file... my FirstLogon.bat file wots the prob,,help needed thanx angel -

specified the computer name as matrix, but after installation, it doesnt get applied. 2. as u can c in the xml, i have integrated an installation file, SWFull.msi. all the softs gets installed but this setup doesnt gets installed.... 3. in the registry files that i have integrated, only the local machine entries get integrated,,,and not the local user, y so.??? 1 thing i noticed is, as soon as everything gets installed,,,teh system reboots,,, (i have 1 setting in the reg file, that is show my computer on the desktop) adn then i could see my computer on the desktop,,,, so it means that the current user settings have also been applied,, but soon after the start, the computer reboots again and again, 2-3 times,,, and when it finally starts, my computer icon has disappeared, and when checked, current user entries didnt get applied. so needed 2 know, what is the problem.... and needed help... thanx angel

pals....2day i completed my unattended dvd of vista sp1. but faced a lot of problems..... 1. thou i inputted the computer name in teh unattended.xml file, still it doesnot show in the installation. 2. as shown in the pinned topics,,,, i used commands to integrate the soft installation and reg tweaks as well as bat exections at audit user step..... but the prob is, allt he softs got installed successfully..but just 1 soft with msi extension didnt get installed......dunno y??? after complete installation when i opened the commandprompt and punched int he inst for the soft again, it installed properly... also all the reg tweaks didnt get integrated properly,,,,...all with local machine and root got integrated.....but things with current user didnt get integrated......y so? also the bat file didnt run fully. there were some things that were 2 be deleted in admin folder,,, but that things coldnt b deleted ...rest things were deleted... 3. i placed a software folder in $1 folder, and it is supposed to be copied to c drive.......(inst drive) but that isnt happening either....nothign gets copied....actually i wanted 2 copy the folder 2 the desktop but since it didnt happened, i moved the folder 2 $1 level but still it isnt copied.... needed help friends.... for the work round... thanx angel

pals... i m creating an unattended vista dvd...so needed some help. everything has finished..just 1 prob... i dont want any printer installed.... as soon as i install vista i get 2 printers default installed.... 1. fax 2. xps something... is there a way by which none get installed in the 1st place....or is there a way by whihc i can delete it during inst proc.. needed help pals... thanx angel

my oem installs perfectly....by logging into admin rest i m testing it 2.... winn uinstall it 2nite and test it perfectly... by placing the oem folder in resources....... and using wiak 2 install stuff automatic..... thanx angel -
pals... needed 2 know, how 2 change the power plan from balanced to high performance through reg setting... along with some settings,,,,,, in it... i tried using regsnap, and track the reg changed and thern create a reg file,,but when i try 2 update the reg it gives me error message that the key is open...so how 2 update and change the power plan in unattended mode... thanx angel

pals..creating an unattended vista dvd... and needed 2 know 1 thing... i want 2 disable hibernation during installation.... so during installation i run a bat file havin command, powercfg -h off so needed 2 know after executing this command, can i delete the hiberfil.sys or i have 2 restart compulsorily in order 2 delete it. i tried 2 c it using virtual machine, but its a waste, hibernation is disabled in VM... so before i could format my system, needed 2 know that i could delete the file or not without restart thanx angel

buddies,,,when i installed 3.5 sp1 directly without any .net and checked out the prog installed,,, i could c, 2.0 sp2, 3.0 sp2 and 3.5 sp1 installed... so do i have 2 install the 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 original also or not??? and...pal.s.. if i m understanding it right, then i wont need the 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 files and all their updates..... as 3.5 sp1 installs all of them.... and wot about 1.0 and 1.1 install files??? thanx angel -
