Hi MSFN members, I am setting up a Dell Inspiron 11 3185 running Windows 7 64-bit (SP1). The laptop features an AMD A9-9420e APU with integrated Radeon R5 Graphics (Stoney Ridge architecture). Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_98E4&SUBSYS_087F1028 Target OS: Windows 7 64-bit (x64) The Issue: Official AMD driver packages omit DEV_98E4 from Windows 7 x64 INFs. I attempted manually adding the hardware ID under [ATI.Mfg.NTamd64.6.1], but Device Manager fails to match or bind the driver correctly (setupapi.dev.log does not register a valid driver node match). What I Am Looking For: I am looking for guidance or help from experienced driver modders on patching an AMD Catalyst/Adrenalin 64-bit Windows 7 package (such as 17.7.2 or similar) so DEV_98E4 is fully supported with working hardware acceleration. Once a working driver package is verified, my plan is to archive and preserve the final working solution on the Internet Archive for anyone else attempting to run Windows 7 on Stoney Ridge APU hardware. Thank you for your time and help!
