[Bug report]
StartAllBack Version: 3.9.9
Windows 11 Version: 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4061)
PC setup: 2 monitors (both 1440P); monitors (screens) set to sleep after 20 mins; PC set to never sleep; Taskbar style set to Use enhanced classic taskbar.
Bug:
Switching from Windows 11 flyouts to Windows 10 flyouts if possible occasionally causes the emoji picker to pop-out from the primary monitor taskbar as a flyout. Tested emoji picker in Signal and Discord once the issue occurred. The emoji picker appeared where the calendar flyout would normally load. Additionally, selecting any emoji did not cause it to appear in the app being used, and normal keyboard shortcuts within the emoji picker (like using the arrow keys and enter to select an emoji) did not function.
How to (possibly) replicate:
Right click on Start Bar.
Left click on Properties.
Left click on Tray icons.
Select the second option (Corner icons open: Windows 10 flyouts if possible).
Allow monitors to go to sleep, and optionally leave PC for a while.
Wake up monitors (e.g., wiggle mouse etc.).
Select the text input section of any app (e.g., Signal, Discord etc.).
Use the emoji picker shortcut -- Windows key plus full stop (aka period) key -- to load the emoji picker.
If the emoji picker appears on the primary monitor where you'd expect to see the calendar, the issue has been replicated.
If not, then something else is afoot, and I'll need to investigate further.
Temporary workaround fix:
Right click on Start Bar.
Left click on Properties.
Left click on Tray icons.
Select the first option (Corner icons open: Windows 11 flyouts).
Then Select the second option (Corner icons open: Windows 10 flyouts if possible).
This should result in the emoji picker working as intended, whilst still restoring the taskbar calendar flyout functionality.
