  1. Problem solved via a workaround. I discovered that the StartScreen.exe app inside the StartIsBack installation folder (in Program Files (x86)) is what opens the Windows 10 start screen. So I just right-clicked on it and chose "Pin to Start Menu". I then renamed the shortcut it created to "Start screen". It worked fine and I can now just move on ... R :-)
  2. I'm doing a new computer build (Windows 10 pro 64, 22H2) and have installed StartIsBack on computers since 2013 (34 licenses) and have never had any problems until now. When enabling "Display Start screen shortcut" the shortcut is added to the Windows Taskbar and not the expected Startisback 'Start list'. A small "Apps" window is displayed asking "Would you like to pin Start screen to your taskbar? StartScreen.exe would like to pin Start screen to the taskbar" One thing I did with this Windows installation is that I installed StartIsBack before the Windows was activated, which it was shortly afterwards. As a workaround I can invoke the Windows Start screen by pressing Ctrl+Windows Key, so I can live without a shortcut on the Startisback Start Menu. But I'm not happy when software does not behave as expected. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Thanks to anyone with info on fixing this, R
