  1. I recently went to broadband, and finally decided to download Authopatcher to get my machine almost up to date, then went to Windows Update to grab the last updates. I'm now current apart from the latest .Net patch, but it errors out as soon as I run it. Trying to run NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe, returns the error Slc04.tmp - Common language runtime debugging service Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process id=0x384 (900), Thread is=0x3e4 (996) Click OK to terminate the application The patch doesn't apply and Windows Update tells me I still need to apply it. Anyone seen this/ know of a fix to get it to install? Win2kSp4 +everything according to WU, PIII 750, 256meg laptop Thanks, Mark
  2. I have in the past made a lot of use of Shortcut Keys to start apps, but I recently patched my Win2k machine up to date (apart for the latest .Net patch, see other post), and all of a sudden all my keyboard shortcuts have stopped working. If I reset the shortcut key (i.e start menu, find shortcut, right click, properties, delete the shortcut key, repeat and set the shortcut key), it works until the next reboot. But if I reboot the machine, no shortcut keys work for any app. Anyone seen this before, and know of a fix? For that matter, does anyone know of an app that will manage shortcuts with shortcut keys allocated, ie one that will scan the use start menu and AllUsers start menu and say which shortcut keys are allocated to which shortcuts, rather than me manually trawling through every shortcut in the menu to find out which shortcut has a specific key allocated? Any help appreciated. Mark
