  1. Preferably without the blanket acceptance of all the updates, patches, and fixes MS is eager to hardsell? If so, can you outline the method of doing this?
  2. There are some default settings I abhor, and constantly have to change them. For example, in 'page setup' I continuously have to change the four margins to 0.7! Is there any way to customize the default to my needs?
  3. create a text box, double click the borders to get to the format settings, and set that colour to black. That sounds like what I want...what are the steps to doing this?
  4. I recently got it installed on my Win 7 rig. Had not used it since it was on the public library computers many years ago, so my memory is sketchy. I'm trying to figure out how I used to do reverse printing (i.e. white text on black background). Example: I vaguely remember it required highlighting the text twice and various other stuff. but can't figure it out. Can anyone provide a step-by-step? Thanks.

I recently moved to Stanislaus County, and also moved on to a 'new' PC...a used Dell Optiplex 7010 Mini-Tower, Quad Core i7 3770 (3.4GHz), 16GB DDR3 SDRAM, 1TB Hard Drive: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. I miss my XP Pro, but definitely not the Bay Area!
