I searched so much on this site, but still couldn't find switches for programs that include an install path switch. I am interested in: * Zonealarm pro 5.5.094.000 * Trend micro PC-Cillin 2005 (ok.., only searched for this one 3times so i could try a copple more). * Winrar 3.42 (interested in a lot more ofcourse, but these will do.., will search for other prog switches more first.., don't dare asking about other progs i want b4 i searched properly). I have found out how to install them silently (/s), but not the path switches, because I don't want to install in the default directory (so not c:\program files\, but someting like D:\programs\). I have the same questions.., Does some1 know the switches to use to do a silent install in a different directory. optional is a switch for entering the serial#.. Hope some1 knows it. I searched, but couldn't find it in this forum nor on the msfn unattended tut. If it can't be done with switches.., repack info would b appreciated, as i wanna refrain from to much scritiping, especially using vbs, as it is to vunarable to problems (referring to the "sendkeys" method.., if the user or another program opens sometin, or changes focus everything could b screwed up in an instant.. B) Maybe I should ask it in the sticky topic where there are a lot of programs with the silent switches?, then maybe the 'moderator' of that post can maybe fill in a few allready. Hi all, It is great how many of u put time n effort in figuring out which app needs what switches, which i am gratefull for, but I do have 1 remark: When I install applications, I always choose a different location for the files. Also I rarely choose standard options. I hope the good list with programs and how to install can be upgraded with the options (at least the install directory switch..?) a programs has, so You can preconfigure the program a little. I do have seen the install scripts, but i was hoping it could be done with switches... Kind regards n keep up the good work all! Cya, deduijk

Hi all, I searched, but could not find my question (or/and was overwhelmed by all the good topics): I want to set-up my internetconnection during install, so I don't have to make and change the network connection. I have to set up a few things: I have to change the lan-connection: TCP/IP ip-adres and subnetmask (to point to my networkcard; thus 10.0.0.150 en subnet 255.255.255.0). Then i have to make and setup a new connection: 'a virtual private network' with ip-adres 10.0.0.138 pc1 then I need to change same parameters: like non-coded password, pptp. Also I want to disable the part where the setup tries to detect and setup an internetconnetion, but without skipping the setup userscreen. (I have seen an option in winnt.sif that will accomplish the former but not the later, as that will disable both at the same time the text says. Kind regards n tnx, deduijk
