  1. how to know my encoding....

    Well, hi to everyone who has already in this forum, i'm a new guy.. here's my condition... i've been ripping data...and what i've been doing has to fit the multilangual problem... here's what i want to do... i want to make those files' tags, names, and text files all in unicode... but how to know my encoding is using unicode?? some text files i created on windows i put on macintosh will become codes... how to make sure my encoding is unicode UTF-8 or -16??
