If I wanted to make a silent install of MS office 2003 pro with Full + Options installed (custom Full install. ). I want all the information to be silent expect maybe the asking of the name. I don't know where to start. I have read something about setup.ini and such but can anyone step me threw it. Thanks, Aaron

Can you just stop and start the service with Net Start Service or Net Stop Service ? "A" You can list the services by typing in Net Start

Is there a way to find out if a service pack 2 has been installed? i want to use a batch script to check for it being installed and then install it if not. Thanks Aaron PS i think i have the way to do the installing and such just need to find out is there a way to check for it being installed through the Command Prompt... Thanks

Hi, I have a problem. I got thunderbird to be installed on all the computers on campus. Great but i have another challege. they want me to be able to set all the server information for the user so all they have to do is type in the username and password and my script will setup there accounts for them. does any one know how or know of any good links i should check out? i dont have a mac i was using idrive/.mac as the "thing" i was wanting to do. i want to have a iDrive capability using m$(Microsoft) OSs. thanks, any other suggestions? "A" ps i use Filezlla FTP Server (Open Source, easy, & Free) now for a ftp server but i was wanting something else other then plain FTP.

I doing some research on running registry changes @ startup. i keep reading about T-13 Stage. I guess something will work before and after but i cant get a good grasp what is it. Any Answer would help. Thanks ~Aaron

thanks, i wonder if i just run the removal tool it will disable it enough where i could install the Norton Corp. Then i wonder if it will them make thoses computers unusable. grr this is very unplesent Thanks everyone. ~Aaron

Hello i wrote a script to install a silent NAV 9.0 on new machines on my network. Iit works great on computers without an antivirus on them but, some have Norton Antivirus 2004 on them and i need to take them off before my script can run. There are about 400 comptuers i need to do this to. so i want to do this script before my script can run. any ideas thanks, ~Aaron
