  1. Not sure if this is the correct part of this forum, but I think so after checking what is available. I just bought a laptop yesterday and loaded Microsoft Office 2003 (students/teachers) in it. I want to do the following but don't have a clue how to do it: 1) Copy my word documents from desktop to my laptop. To complicate matters the word on my desktop does not seem to be fully capable word as documents there cannot be edited. When I attempt to edit I get the six or eight dots around edge, just like a photo. Cannot change any part of the content of the document at least as near as I can figure. 2) Most of my documents are saved on Corel Word Perfect Eight and I want to move these into word on my laptop. Is this possible? How? What cable and instructions and where can I find? I find it worthless to do an email attachment of my word perfect document with an email because nobody can open it. So I am forced to do a copy and past from word perfect to word and then attach out of word. Real cumberson, and complicated by the fact that cannot change anything in word document once it is transferred. 3) Actually looking for a way to transfer all everything on my desktop to my laptop, but am sure that is a subject for another forum. 4) Also probably another part of this forum is my need to keep upgrading my laptop from my desktop and vice versa, maybe once a week. Any suggestions? Sorry to be so long winded but I am just frustrated and really need some expert help.
