  1. Hi, After upgrading WinXP Pro to SP2 I have started experiencing communication problems with my live chat client software. It constantly logs in, stays active for 30 seconds then states the connection has been lost and reconnects. The client software works fine on non SP2 machines. Chat vendor support state that the problem is with Win XP and not their client or server. Even if I remove the chat client from the equation and connect via the chat vendors web site, the same problem occurs - Internet Explorer/FireFox cannot maintain a persistent connection to the chat server. I read some posts somewhere on the web that this is related to some kind of auto timeout setting in SP2? Can anyone shed any light on this strange problem? Many thanks in advance.
