  1. Have created an unattended dvd of Windows XP proffessional with SP2 + Office 2003 + few other programs. Tried it all out on Virtual PC and worked fine. Burnt image to DVD and stored in safe place for future use. Having crashed my PC i tried to use the unattended disc and was presented with the dreaded Blue screen of death. anyone have any ideas what may have caused this? Like i said it all worked ok when tested on Virtual PC.
  2. Does anybody know why my screen savers would stop working? will show if i click on preview but if i set them to come on in 1 minute nothing happens at all. Doesn't matter which screen saver i pick none of them will kick in??? Just tried in windows safe mode and they work, any ideas what could be causing none of them to work in normal windows mode?
  3. What is autoit by nologic and where can i find it? plz
  4. I'm New to this site and procedure. But what i have noticed is that you can't help but give sarcastic comments to those that are trying to seek help. perhaps your time would be better spent giving contructive feedback or none at all. It must be hard being so perfect. Do you not think that i have not searched this site how do you think i got the switches i am using at the moment.
  5. Having problems when installing programs in unattended instalation. still keep getting all the prompt windows coming up. Does any body know the correct switches for these programs? These are the programs with the settings I have at present: ZoneAlarm Security Suite 5.5 start /wait %systemdrive%\install\ZoneAlarm\zaSuiteSetup_55_062_004.exe /s /noreboot Clone CD start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Clone\SetupCloneCD.exe /s Clone DVD start /wait %systemdrive%\install\clone\SetupCloneDVD.exe /s Winzip 9 start /wait %systemdrive%\install\WinZip\winzip90.exe /autoinstall /s Itunes start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Itunes\Itunes 4.7.msi /s Ipod Access start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Itunes\IPODACCESS_SETUP.EXE /s Adobe 6 start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Adobe\AdbeRdr60_enu_full.exe /q FolderGuard 7.1 start /wait %systemdrive%\install\FolderGuard\FolderGuardPro-v71-setup.exe /s /noreboot PowerDVD 6 start /wait %systemdrive%\install\PowerDVD6\pdvd6dlx_1102.exe /autoinstall /noqp /noreboot Any Help please
  6. Followed the tutorial all the way through but at the end it says: This command will perform a silent installation of Office XP using the Unattended.MST file you created in the Custom Installation Wizard to set your customized options. But we don't want to use the exact command shown above as this wouldn't exist when installing from a CD, so change: TRANSFORMS=C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\OfficeXP\Unattended.MST /qb- to... TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb- but for some reason it wont let me edit the line C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\OfficeXP\Unattended.MST /qb- the text just won't delete. Any suggestions????
  7. Newbie Spent the last few days trying to set up an unattended Xp install disk. got to the point where everything goes through ok until the point where i want to log on automatically with a user name & password created in a useraccounts.cmd file all i keep getting is an Administrators account log on. I also am unable to get my drivers to load (only tried one so far as i cannot understand the intructions given in the tutorial and have searched high and low on here for something to point me in the right direction.) plus the programs that i am trying to get to install wont load either. I do get a flash of the bat file at around T-12. if anyone could be so kind as to check my files for me and point out any errors i would be forever grateful. Here are my files that i am using: I think thats everything. First: Don't use caps in topic title. Second: Make file (.bat, .inf, .sif, whatever) and attach it with your post. Third: Read Forum Rules before you post. Like fx. 12. Very often we see meaningless subjects in topic title. They give no clue of what the posts are all about. Sorry people like i said i'm new to all this. files.rar
  8. Managed to work my way through the process of creating unattended XP disc everything is running fine when run through Virtual PC apart from the auto logon process. i created a autologon.reg file as follows: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] DefaultUserName=******** DefaultPassword=******** AutoAdminLogon=0 But when Xp is installed all i get is a logon for an Administrator and have to put in my administrator password to gain access. My useraccount.cmd file reads as follows: net user ******* ********** /add net localgroup Administrators ******* /add net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited REGEDIT /S %cdrom%\install\autologon.reg EXIT Am i doing something wrong???? please help i'm a newbie and want to get this resolved before i attempt to add software & drivers to my unattended XP disc .
  9. Have been working through the Unattended Windows XP guide and have run into a couple of minor problems. I have a bootable copy of XP with SP2 slipstreamed already. When running the new iso image through Virtual PC XP installs unattended until the screen resolution part when it says that windows will adjust your settings and requires you to click on ok. once adjusted it then requires you to accept the changes by clicking ok. Xp then goess to the Welcome to Windows screen and request you click all the relevent buttons to comple installation. I think I have all the right settings in the winnt.sif file located in the C:\XPCD\I386 folder & the right winnt.bat , Regtweaks.reg, autologin.reg, cmdlines.txt, useraccounts.cmd files located in the C:\XPCD\$OEM$ folder. please see attached zip file with relevent files in them. Any help would be much apprecited. Simo
