hehe naw thats not the problem with the file extension, i just put it .txt so you can open it with your browser and not force people to download it and open it , figured it would be easier. also can anyone fill in the blanks for the other reg tweaks?

btw does this code for the Quick Launch make any difference if your using the classic theme? just wondering if there is a difference if i was using the luna theme?

thanks Dahi, did not know that what a requirement. anyone one else have a few ideas ? also was wondering, read allot of info into the changing your own Icons, but not allot of info for the unattended setups. there was suggestions on using rezhack and shell32.dll, but still not sure if that will work for slipstream installs. can anyone offer more info?

Hi, how is everyone. i been reading over the site for some time now and im @ the point were i need help. i have made a few slipstream cd's and they seem to work fine, i read the unattended guide a few times over to find some of my own tweaks and even played around with nLite, a great programe. had many! install of windows on my virtual machine and wow, im up to 48 now, tweaking around to get it perfect and so far it seems great, but to get to the point i have a few questions about reg tweaks, according to one of the guides i have to put my tweaks in a .reg file and have it run from cmdlines.txt, i have done that and i get no error when the computer goes for its final boot up, but yet the settings dont seem to apply. my 1st quess whas it did not apply to the Admin account, and i might have to make a new account for them to apply. i'm still not sure of that fact. 2nd guess is that since i used nlite to add some tweaks to the source and then just add my $OEM$ dir to that source and then repack it using a batch script, there might be problems. and 3rd and last guess is that the .reg file is not structured properly. here is a link to my reg file. http://www.humpme.org/files/regtweaks.txt ( sorry if the name sounds bad, not a porn site =op ) also i noticed that my winnt.sif files settings dont seem to always apply... when doing the virtual install to test the iso on some versions of the .iso the configuration works fine and on others they don't but they are all for the same source just different tweaks. and just for the sake of it, heres my winnt.sif file if you guys would like to look over. http://www.humpme.org/files/winnt.sif.txt (again sorry for domain name =op ) Also i was wondering if anyone knew the keys to these settings so i can apply them to my .reg file auto arrange desktop icons in ie set the icon size to small (right click customize / icon size ) show quick launch - EDIT: FOUND ( THX SyntaxError ) show small icons in start menu remove the "GO" Button in IE Remove the "LINKS" button in IE set the recycle bin size to 1% of HD - EDIT: FOUND ( THX SyntaxError ) hey thats my 1st post! i would like to thank you guys for the help im sure to get. -M EDIT- Added "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00" To top of regfile ( thanks Dahi )
