  1. What I normally do in the event of the driver error in the initial phase of the windows installation is 1. copy the drivers to the i386 folder of the approriate RIS image 2. Open the command prompt 3. Stop the binlsvc service by typing "net stop binlsvc" 4. Start the service by typing "net start binlsvc" 5. Exit the command prompt If the correct inf and other files needed were copied the RIS image should now start to work If not try having a look on the net I know some cards like the intel pro 100/1000 have dirvers specially written for RIS and without the RIS drivers the system just will not install Good luck Pigdig
  2. Good day, I am running windows 2003 server and my PC will download new updates either from the microsoft site or from a WUS server but once the updates are ready to install the globe will come up with a reminder to "CLICK HERE |TO INSTALL THESE UPDATES" but when I click on the icon it just disappears and reappears a few seconds later if I log off and log back in as ADMINISTRATOR then the updates install 100%, I have double checked the user that I have created is part of the administrators group but it still will not let me install the updates from that user. Are there any suggestions as I have even tried reloading windows and I am also getting the same errors on another winXP box. Thanks
  3. Good Day, I have two networks running one is gigabit which connect my two servers and the other is 100mb to the client PC's my one server is bridging the gigabit and the 100Mb network. Everything works fine as long as all the computers stay on. If one of the computers (especially on the gigabit network) restart or shut down the ADSL connection is terminated on the server that is bridging the network. At one stage I had the same server bridging a wireless network as well and the connection was also dropped every time a new wireless card connected to the network. Is there any way I can get around this problem? Thanks P1gd0g
  4. For outlook express your mail folder are stored in "C:\Documents and Settings\*USER NAME*\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\*{SOME NUMBER}*\Microsoft\Outlook Express" There will be a few .dbx files e.g inbox.dbx outlook.dbx etc copy this to another folder to create your backup.
