That's because offline nt password & registry editor doesn't support UEFI firmware that is used by most Windows 8 computers. The traditional bootdisks won't work any longer and you need to use a UEFI compatible tool such as PCUnlocker Live CD. If your problem has resolved, it's time to close this discussion now.

Check out the "Windows To Go" feature that is available in the latest version of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. It allows you to install and run Windows from a portable USB drive. This feature should be what you're looking for.
