  1. Thx argon007 I'll try it out, next weekend (School just restarted ) so I havn't got time before the weekend.
  2. Right click on the start-toolbar, select "Properties" and in there, there is a botton you shall click on, and in there, you can choose which tray icon's that must "Allways show" and "Always hide".
  3. Try using th Program FreeRam XP Pro. I had some luck, getting some extra "juice" ut of my laptop, after I installed it.
  4. Hi all you clever guies. I have use the last 8 hours on trying to get an "unatended XP-SP2 slip'ed-CD" to function. Sys. info: P4 3.0 NWc @3,6 Abit IC7-MAX3 *edit* 2*512MB Crucial Ballistix PC3200*edit* Watercooling all the way around (ex hdd) 2 * WDRaptor 360 configured in RAID 0 Point Of View GeForce 5700 Ultra 1 DVD-ROM 1 CD-RW I have used Rasken's guide, to slipstream the si3114r driver Unattended install, SATA drivers, and NO Floppy , I finally got it to work! Then I used the guide from this HP, to create the Unatended XP-CD (Great guide BTW ) Now I have come so far, that I can make the computer boot on the disk, and it comes to the end of the "Text period", and then it complains about, it cannot find the Si3114r.sys file. I have now used aprox half an hour on trying to find the fault in the winnt.sif and the TXTSETUP.sif files, and I think i have "cleaned" those two, for those fault's I had made in them. And now for the question: I think the problem is in the SI3114r.inf file! Here is the begining of the last "version" I tried out ; This INF file installs the Silicon Image Serial ATA Raid driver ; for the SiI 3114 controller on systems running Windows 98/ME, ; Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. ; ; Copyright (C) 2003 by Silicon Image, Inc. ; All rights reserved [Version] Signature="$Chicago$" Class=SCSIAdapter ClassGuid={4D36E97B-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Provider=%SI% CatalogFile=SI3114r.cat DriverVer=09/22/2003, 1.0.0.1 [SourceDisksFiles] SI3114r.sys = 1 SI3114r.mpd = 1 SiiSupp.vxd = 1 SiWinAcc.sys = 1 [DestinationDirs] DefaultDestDir = 12 [DriverFiles_9X] SI3114r.mpd,,,0x20 SiiSupp.vxd,,,0x20 [DriverFiles_NT_2K] SI3114r.sys,,,0x20 [DriverFiles_XP] SI3114r.sys,,,0x20 SiWinAcc.sys,,,0x20 [Manufacturer] %SI%=SI_HDC,NTx86.5.1 And here's the same area from the "original" version: ; This INF file installs the Silicon Image Serial ATA Raid driver ; for the SiI 3114 controller on systems running Windows 98/ME, ; Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. ; ; Copyright (C) 2003 by Silicon Image, Inc. ; All rights reserved [Version] Signature="$Chicago$" Class=SCSIAdapter ClassGuid={4D36E97B-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Provider=%SI% CatalogFile=SI3114r.cat DriverVer=09/22/2003, 1.0.0.1 [SourceDisksNames] 1="Silicon Image SiI 3114 SATARaid Driver Installation Disk",SI3114r.sys,, [SourceDisksFiles] SI3114r.sys = 1 SI3114r.mpd = 1 SiiSupp.vxd = 1 SiWinAcc.sys = 1 [DestinationDirs] DefaultDestDir = 12 [DriverFiles_9X] SI3114r.mpd,,,0x20 SiiSupp.vxd,,,0x20 [DriverFiles_NT_2K] SI3114r.sys,,,0x20 [DriverFiles_XP] SI3114r.sys,,,0x20 SiWinAcc.sys,,,0x20 [Manufacturer] %SI%=SI_HDC,NTx86.5.1 As the fast eye observes, then I had/have deleted this part [SourceDisksNames] 1="Silicon Image SiI 3114 SATARaid Driver Installation Disk",SI3114r.sys,, What shal I write in this *.inf file, to make this "project" become usable? Sory for any Typ'o's, long time since I've last written (a novel ;-) ) in English I've taged the si3114r.sys file, "Just in case", someone would like to write it correct for me. B) The "Drivers-files" is in this path: C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\01_Si3114r where in there are 7 files total. (Abit's floppy 133 for IC7-MAX3) SI3114r.inf
