    i reset the laptop back to factory settings, and reinstalled the same AMD drivers but this time, no hibernation issues haha what lousy AMD drivers thanks andre for helping!

    unfortunately when i disable the AMD card, the computer goes into some sort of safe mode, so it can't work out. this is driving me crazy haha

    thanks for reading it! the existing version was provided by Samsung, and that worked till the past few days when it started giving problems. and yet i did not make any changes to the drivers at all. i've tried 13.12 but the issue does not resolve unfortunately. would turning hibernation off be viable?

    http://sdrv.ms/1gcVwxkthanks andre! i'm suspecting it is something to do with the ATI drivers (the graphics card is a 8870M) but the weird thing is i haven't made any changes to it recently cheers

    hi andre! i'm having a tough time figuring out what is slowing my computer as it is waking from hibernation. currently running windows 8.1 on a samsung laptop (ativ book 8) and when i awake it from hibernation, it takes a good 5-8 minutes before it is usable. this has only happened over the past few days and it was otherwise ok. didn't update any drivers/install anything during this time. so i'm wondering where is the problem. i've created the etl trace. would you be willing to help take a quick look? if you are, i'd upload it onto skydrive cheers! and happy new year
